  Looking for examples of Witnesses physically harmed during field service

  i am looking for any examples, preferably with independent news sources of any witnesses that have ever been:.

  mugged.

  A sister had an RV that she didn't feel comfortable about, so she gave it to myself (I was an MS at the time), and one of the elders.

  We went to the house and this guy wouldn't come out because he said that he had asked HER to return and not us. He was talking to us through his front window, but he refused to come out. He was yapping about what the usual born again and again and again rants and raves about.

  So the guys not going to come out and he just keeps repeating the same thing so we turn around and as we get to the side walk he says he should come out and kick our asses.

  So the elder starts laughing and says something like 'we're right here if you want to come out'. So the guy starts cussing us out, but won't come out, and we leave laughing.

  The thing is, the elder I was with had been a boxing coach in the military, and I had taken martial arts from the brother of a well known martial artist.

  Good thing he stayed inside.

  this is from a blog, "news from me" that i read fairly regularly.

  mark evanier is, among other things, a comic book writer (co-writer for "groo-the wanderer), a television writer, a great raconteur, and was a close person friend of jack kirby, one of the world's greatest comic book artists.he got an email from a jw trying to explain why they come to his door.evanier's answer is well thought out, and should explain to even the densest j-dub why people really don't like being bothered.

  maybe his correspondent will take it to heart, but probably not.

  It is not easy, because it is not usually a  "just get up and walk away" situation.

  So then, the next issue is whether to leave things as they are, me being inactive for many years, or to get disfellowshipped, which would certainly make everything cut and dried.

  Certainly a difficult point to get to.

  When it's your time to go...............

  if you believe "when it's your time to go, it's your time to go" then cause of death does not matter.

  plane crash, school shooting, accident, war, or anything else.. if you have this mind set, then any event resulting in a human death is just fulfilling a pre-determined destiny for that human.. you also cannot pick and choose as to which event, or rather, death, is in the "when it's your time to go, it's your time to go" scheme of things or not.. nightowl.

  Why do you care that people believe in God?

  It's actually a strange question on a forum for people who have had their families, friendships and careers destroyed by people who order their lives around superstitions.

  It is not a strange question.

  You just don't want to honestly answer it.

  Look, you just want to be right, and you want to control those who you say are controlled.

  You are not all knowing, so you don't really know whether God exists or not.
